New Refund Policy Improves Customer Experience
Just in Time for the Holidays

WASHINGTON, Nov. 21–LivingSocial today announced its new Good Deal Guarantee designed to help customers shop with confidence just in time for the holidays. The Good Deal Guarantee offers LivingSocial customers more time to receive refunds when making returns, and makes it easier for both consumers and merchants to get great value from their LivingSocial experience.

“We work hard to bring our customers the best deals from the best merchants, and it is important to us that they are completely satisfied,” said Barry Judge, CMO of LivingSocial. “We realize that sometimes circumstances change, and that there are times that our customers are unable to redeem their vouchers, but they still want a great experience from LivingSocial and our quality merchant partners. So, based on that feedback, we developed our Good Deal Guarantee. This will help us to improve the consumer experience overall and to increase the value we offer to our merchant partners by helping them to attract the high-quality customers they desire.”

To ensure that all deal purchases leave consumers with a smile, consumers can get a full refund on any unredeemed, unscheduled Local & Shop Vouchers within the first seven days after purchase with no questions asked. After seven days, consumers can still exchange any unredeemed, unscheduled regular Voucher until the expiration date for the paid value in Deal Bucks that can be applied to future purchases.

LivingSocial’s industry-leading Escapes travel policy, which gives consumers up to 30 days to return an unused, non-dated Voucher for a full refund, will remain the same. The company’s refund policy for Events, which allows consumers to get a full refund on any unredeemed non-dated events within the first seven days after purchase with no questions asked, also remains unchanged.
